2010 Festival ReportAn annual highlight of the local dining scene, the 9th Annual Steveston Seafood & Wine Festival was held at the Gulf of Georgia Cannery Historic Site in Steveston on Friday, April 30, 2010. The doors were opened a little early to allow our guests to get out of the rain.
This year, we had over 100 different bottles of wine being served as well as 12 local restaurants offering their specialties for the evening. As in previous years, the Rotary Oyster table offered fresh oysters to our guests. Our event was well attended and enjoyed by all.
Although the event is a sellout each year, this year we were sold out within a week of the tickets being offered for sale. This is truly an event that draws crowds each year because of the great selection of wines and foods that are prepared by our BC wineries and our local restaurants. Thanks again to all those that supported us through their attendance and we hope that everyone had an evening of delight and look forward to our event again next year.
