On April 5, 2001, Dave Bradley, Bob Jones, Bill McNulty, Bob Ransford, and Arnold Walter gathered to charter the Rotary Club of Steveston-Richmond. Sponsor clubs were the Rotary Clubs of Vancouver South and Vancouver Chinatown.
Initial membership inducted May 4, 2001 also included current members: Barbara Bradey, Bob Butterworth, Paul Meyer, and Jim Toogood; and Don Pfeffer and Rob Madsen.
Other initial members included Pat Branch, Peter Cuzzetto, Dave Fleming, John Hall, Jennifer Hamilton, Tammy Hoolsema, Larry Low, Doug Masse, Thelma McGolrick, Bob Morimoto, Ron Palmer, Judy Rosenfeld, Ed Ryhal, Susan Smith, Jim Thompson, Cedric Towers, Robert Turnbull, and Martin Van Holst. Bill Brooke, Jack Evans, and Peter Mitchell joined later during that Rotary year.
On March 9, 2011 our current and past members, the current District Governor and 4 past District Governors, members of other local Rotary Clubs (Richmond, Richmond Sunrise, Richmond Sunset, Vancouver South, Vancouver Chinatown, and Vancouver Quadra) gathered in our club room in the Steveston Hotel to celebrate our first 10 years. Richmond's Mayor and other local dignitaries and friends also joined us.
