In December Steveston Rotary members Burgess and Mitchell joined a dozen members of the Rotary Hearing Health project to load another container of medical supplies for Uganda.

The medical equipment and supplies container was shipped to Uganda via Kenya. Unfortunately post election unrest in Kenya kept the shipment stranded in port during the period that our club representative returned to Uganda.
Our club and members, and other donors also contributed to the purchase of a clothes washer and dryer for the hospital there as a follow-up to the 2007 visit. In consultation with authorities there to source locally repairable equipment, the purchase was changed to a washer, clotheslines, tents to shade those attending the hospital, and some food purchases.
