Rotary Rides the Rails — rapid transit to Rotary clubs

September 2009

On Tuesday, September 1, Steveston Rotary held its weekly meeting on a Skytrain on the new Canada Line rapid transit line! Club banner in hand we departed Richmond's Bridgeport Station just after 7am, passed stops near a dozen other local Rotary clubs and traveled downtown to Waterfront Station — a 19 minute trip. Once there a few members departed for work.

After a quick trip around the station, to the Seabus, to the West Coast Express and the Exposition Skytrain line stops, we returned to Richmond Bridgeport Station. Many members made a quick trip onward to see the airport stops, returning to Bridgeport a few minutes later. We then went inside the adjoining Great Canadian Casino for a nice breakfast.
