3rd Richmond Maritime Festival
Britannia Heritage Shipyard
August 18-20, 2006
The 3rd annual Richmond Maritime Festival was held August 18 to 20,
2006 at the Britannia Heritage Shipyard in Steveston (Richmond) BC.
Highlights of the festival were the 188' Barkentine Concordia, the
tugboat Master, the Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary rescue craft, the
Canadian Lifeboat Society vessel, and many other sailboats, powerboats
and fishing boats.

The Maritime Festival also featured a 2 day music festival ashore, a
Captains' Barbeque Friday evening, the Sea Dragon flag raising, and the
Canadian Forces, RCMP Dive Team, the Canadian Coast Guard, and
Fraserport displays.
There were also boats undergoing restoration, model ships, displays
on knot tying, rope making, the kids' area with toy boat building and
painting, all at the Britannia Heritage Shipyard.
