Rotary Hearing Health,
Humanitarian-Literacy Project,
Uganda, Africa
Spring 2007
In autumn 2006 members a number of Rotary Clubs involved with the
Rotary World Help Network including our Steveston Rotary club packed
medical equipment including surgical microscopes, and computers, and
school books to fill a 40' container for shipping to Uganda.

The Uganda project included our Rotary Club of Steveston, the Rotary
Club of New Westminster, and the Quadra Rotary Club, plus the host
Rotary Clubs of Kampala Sunrise and Arua, in co-operation with the
Uganda Ministry of Health, Department of the Disabled.

The pictures here show delivery of the equipment in early 2007, the
very sick taken in by missionaries of the poor, being assessed and
treated, Vancouver Rotary surgeons training Uganda staff, in Uganda
hospitals, Steveston Rotarian Dieter Howald's Bio Medical Engineering
work and support
Medical Surgical teams in Uganda. Also shown is a speech to the Rotary
Club of Kampala, and happy local children after the group's arrival.
